BYO FAQs to BYOB Basics at Just Grapes

We’ve all had nights where we’ve planned a get-together with friends at our favorite Chicago Thai, Indian, Vietnamese or sushi spots. You show up, greet your friends at the door and head to your table, prepared to order a few bottles of wine to share… only to learn from your server that the restaurant is BYOB.

Avoid those awkward “I could’ve sworn this place had a bar!” moments by coming to Just Grapes for BYOB Basics tomorrow night, Thursday, March 12, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. We’ll be joined by BYOB experts, including Jean Iversen, author of “BYOB Chicago,” who will share valuable tips and info on BYOB etiquette. We’ll also taste seven terrific wines and put them to the BYOB test.

Come by and bring your own BYOB questions. What’s the best white to drink with sushi if you’re ordering a variety of different Maki rolls? What should you bring to that little Ecuadorian place up the street? Do most BYOB restaurants provide red AND white stemware or are they all one-glass-fits-all?
